The second day in Davos of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, began with a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Espen Barth Eide.

“Today we will have the signing of the EFTA agreement, which is a great achievement. We have had significant growth in the last four years, 6 percent of GDP on average, never going below 4 percent. We want to continue growing, but exports are very important, and the export of goods and services is already included in EFTA”, the Prime Minister said at the beginning of the meeting.

The Prime Minister then thanked the state of Norway for its continued support for Kosovo, especially in its membership in international organizations and its journey in the European integration process.

The parties also discussed common security challenges and their addressing, and the importance of coordination. Prime Minister Kurti also emphasized the importance of Kosovo’s membership in NATO, in addition to Kosovo’s alignment with the EU and its member states in condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine and supporting sanctions against Russia.

Expressing gratitude for Norway’s support and strong bilateral cooperation, the Prime Minister thanked Minister Eide for the conversation and exchange within the framework of the World Economic Forum.
