January 21, 2025

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, traveled to Switzerland today, where he will participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The Free Trade Agreement with the member countries of EFTA (European Free Trade Association) will be signed in Davos. Kosovo is the only country in the region that, in addition to negotiating trade in goods, has also negotiated trade in services with EFTA. This agreement will create new opportunities for our domestic producers and companies and will strengthen the economic and trade partnership between our country and Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Iceland as EFTA member states.

During his stay there, Prime Minister Kurti will also have meetings with state representatives of friendly and partner countries and with potential investors, as well as participate in the panel discussion entitled “Sustainable Democracies in an Era of Change” and the panel “Artificial Intelligence for Humanity: Ethical Innovation in the Age of Intelligence”. Both of these panels will be held at the House of Kosovo in Davos, which was opened for the first time.

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, and the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, are also participating in the Economic Forum in Davos.
