The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of Slovenia, Luka Mesec. Also present at the meeting was the Ambassador of Slovenia to Kosovo, Minca Benedejčič.
They discussed strengthening relations between our two countries and deepening cooperation in areas of common interest. The main focus during the discussion was given to the agreement initiated today between Kosovo and Slovenia on social security. This agreement will enable citizens of both countries to have the opportunity to exercise their right to a pension in the country where they live.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi also informed his counterpart about the progress the country has made in the last four years, especially regarding Kosovo’s economic development.
The meeting also discussed developments in the country and the region. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed his gratitude to Slovenia for its partnership and cooperation and wished Mr. Mesec a fruitful stay and visit in Kosovo.
