The official visit of the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, to the United States of America continued with a meeting with US Congressman Keith Self.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed his gratitude to the United States of America for its unwavering support and assistance to Kosovo in the stages of state-building. Together, they discussed the democratic progress, economic growth and development of Kosovo.
The importance of Kosovo’s international consolidation and the support of our American partners and friends on this journey was also discussed, especially the importance of Kosovo’s membership in NATO.
Security threats were one of the aspects discussed during the meeting, where Congressman Keith Self also expressed his concern regarding the recent terrorist attack on critical infrastructure in the Ibër Lepenci canal. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the danger posed by Serbia through acts of aggression and continuous terrorist attacks against the Republic of Kosovo.
