The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, during his stay in the United States of America, met with the Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Bo Li.
During this meeting, Mr. Bo Li congratulated the Government of Kosovo for its good work in the field of economic development, emphasizing sustainable economic growth, good fiscal management and the implementation of structural reforms. He also praised the excellent cooperation between the IMF and Kosovo, and congratulated the Government for the success in implementing the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) and the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) programs.
Thanking him for the excellent cooperation, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi informed Mr. Bo Li on the latest developments in the country, emphasizing that the good economic trends from previous years have continued this year. Among other things, he mentioned the growth of exports, that of foreign direct investment, and the decrease in inflation. He also emphasized that budget revenues and expenditures have increased significantly, while fiscal sustainability has been further strengthened.
In conclusion, the parties discussed further cooperation and joint commitment to the implementation of future programs and projects.
