The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, attended the annual Lama Dinner celebration, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development, signifying the conclusion of the harvest season in honor of a successful year.
On this special day, at the dinner served with local products, Prime Minister Kurti especially thanked our farmers for their tireless work in increasing local production. On this occasion, he confirmed the government’s support and commitment to them, stressing that we enjoy the successes together, and we are always hoping that this prosperity will follow us next year as well.
“This year we have an interesting correlation compared to past four years: both the cultivated land area and the Gross Domestic Product have increased by 50 percent. We work the land more and grow our economy higher. For the cultivated lands, the harvested wheat, the bread on the table, the hospitality, and the generosity that characterize us as a nation and as a state. Have fun and enjoy this dinner served only with local products”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
Prime Minister Kurti’s speech:
I would like to express my sincere gratitude first and foremost to our Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development, Faton Peci, whom I warmly greet and thank wholeheartedly,
Honorable Members of Assembly and Government colleagues,
Honorable representatives of international institutions,
Honorable Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Mr. Petrit Ajeti,
Honorable Ambassadors of Germany, Austria, Japan and the Netherlands,
Honorable rector of the University of Pristina, Professor Arben Hajrullahu and the rector of the University of Prizren, Mentor Alishani,
Ladies and gentleman,
Sisters and brothers,
At the common table of prosperity, today we convey the message of unity, bread, salt and heart. Of the power that comes from love for the homeland, from the commitment to protect it and to be its master. I thank the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development for bringing us together tonight.
In this joint toast, I especially thank our farmers for their tireless work in increasing local production, in the year that we are slowly but surely leaving behind. We will continue our support and commitment to them. We enjoy the successes together, and we always hope that this prosperity will follow us next year as well. This year we have an interesting correlation compared to past four years: both the cultivated land area and the Gross Domestic Product have increased by 50 percent. We work the land more and grow our economy higher.
For the cultivated lands, the harvested wheat, the bread on the table, the hospitality, and the generosity that characterize us as a nation and as a state. Have fun and enjoy this dinner set with exclusively local products.
Thank you!
