The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, welcomed the Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia of USAID, Ambassador Elizabeth McKee, and the Mission Director, James Hope, accompanied by the Ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier.
Welcoming her to Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance of USAID, which this year marks the 25th anniversary of its establishment, throughout all these years and especially in the government’s energy reforms, namely in the energy transition, public procurement, the fight against corruption and the rule of law. He expressed special gratitude for the role and cooperation in achieving Kosovo’s first sovereign credit rating, by Fitch Ratings, which together with the newly established Investment and Export Agency, also with the support of USAID, will help attract investments to Kosovo.
At this meeting, Prime Minister Kurti and Ambassador McKee discussed developments in the country, the implementation of joint projects and opportunities for new cooperation, with an emphasis on the rule of law and sustainable development.
