The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Daulina Osmani, welcomed to the Government Balcony, participating athletes and officials of the World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender and WTT Feeder competition organized by the Federation of Table Tennis in Kosovo.
During the conversation, the Prime Minister welcomed the international athletes to Kosovo and thanked them all for their role and contribution to the sport of table tennis and sports in general, and to the youth in particular. He wished them success in the competitions and throughout their professional careers, as he invited them to visit Kosovo again.
This year, athletes from 14 countries participated in the WTT Youth Contender competitions, which took place from October 24 to 27. Table tennis player Imran Duraku took second place for Kosovo in the U11 category. Table tennis players from England, Belgium, Bulgaria and South Korea won in the U15 and U19 categories. Last night, Prime Minister Kurti was present at the “1 Tetori” hall, where he closely followed the finals of this competition.
From October 30 to November 1, the second international table tennis competition, WTT Feeder Prishtina 2024, will be held in the “1 October” hall in Prishtina, where athletes from 31 countries will participate. This is the first time that the Kosovo Table Tennis Federation is organizing the WTT competitions, which is considered the biggest table tennis event ever organized in our country.
