The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, welcomed to the meeting today representatives from the German Economic Team, headed by its leader, Dr. Ricardo Giucci.
The conversation focused on the country’s development progress and economic indicators. The economic growth that Kosovo has experienced in the last three years, the increase in foreign direct investments being the highest in the region, the increase in income, the creation of new jobs and the decrease in inflation, among others, were highlighted.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that based on all the economic indicators, which give an overview of the economic situation in the country, we note that the development of Kosovo is a success and unique story, while Dr. Giucci said that all these positive indicators show a positive and powerful trend and dynamics for the development, the present and the future of the country. He praised the economic policies undertaken by the government and the rapid economic development that the country is experiencing.
The meeting also discussed the importance and benefits of the Single Euro Payments Market (SEPA), as a continuation of the discussion held last week at Europe House, where the Deputy Prime Minister again expressed the work and steps the Government is taking in relation to the advancement towards SEPA membership.
