The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today welcomed members from the Danish delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. In this meeting, he was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Saranda Bogujevci.
Initially, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his deep gratitude for the delegation and their active engagement in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in advocating in support of the Republic of Kosovo, which reflect the excellent relations between our two countries and the sharing of values common.
He recalled the vote in favor of the majority of representatives from Denmark (4 out of 5) but also the total of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe – with 82 percent of the votes in favor – in April of this year, recommending that the Committee of Ministers invite Kosovo to become a full member of the organization. The Prime Minister emphasized that this recommendation was a historic and important moment, which reflects the alignment of Kosovo with the standards and principles of the Council of Europe.

Prime Minister Kurti said that the Republic of Kosovo deserves full membership in the Council of Europe, as it has fully met the standards, criteria, conditions and prerequisites necessary for full membership in this organization.
