After the meeting with Senator Chris Murphy, on the second day of the Democratic National Convention, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, also met with American Senator Peter Welch.
They talked about the deepening of relations between Kosovo and the United States of America and the expansion towards new areas of cooperation, for the closest and most productive interaction, but also about the historic presidential elections in the United States, which will be held on November 5 and the vibrancy and ingrained values of the robust American democracy.
Prime Minister Kurti introduced Senator Welch to the developments in the country and the democratic and economic progress that our country has achieved in the last three years.
Senator Welch had visited our country immediately after Serbia’s terrorist attack on the Republic of Kosovo on September 24 last year, where Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of facing the justice of those responsible for this attack and the handing over of Milan Radojčić to the Kosovo authorities by Serbia.
Expressing his gratitude for the senator’s contribution and his continuous support to the Republic of Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti thanked him for the sincere exchange and the developed conversation.
