After the state reception in the “George Bush” square in Pristina for the Olympic team, which participated in the Olympic Games in Paris, the Olympic team was also welcomed in the Open Balcony of the Government, in a reception organized by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
In the presence of government ministers and deputy ministers, parliament members and representatives of the Municipality of Peja, Prime Minister Kurti once again congratulated the athletes from the bottom of his heart for the medals and all the unforgettable moments they have given us and wished them continued success in the future . He thanked all the sports structures and the representatives of the institutions for their support and dedication to the athletes.
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Republic of Kosovo was represented by nine athletes in the disciplines of judo, boxing, swimming and athletics, who won a silver medal and a bronze medal (both in the judo discipline), leading to five the total number of Olympic medals from participation in three Olympics, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.

Dear Olympic team,
Dear leaders of sports structures, representatives of institutions and dear friends,
Welcome to this special meeting, where we have the honor and pleasure to welcome our Kosovo Olympic team, who have just returned from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart for the medals and all the unforgettable moments you have given us. If you’ve ever thought that being prime minister is a difficult job, try being an elite athlete of the highest rank, those who receive medals in the Olympic games, and you understand the difficulty, the overcoming and the discipline that brings success. .
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sports structures and representatives of the institutions for your tireless support and dedication. Without you, the successes of our athletes would not be possible.
Let’s enjoy this evening together, celebrate the achievements of our judokas and look forward to the new challenges and victories that await us.
I wish you all much success in the future. Thank you for being here and thank you for making Kosovo proud!
