The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today welcomed the President of the Universal Peace Federation for South-Eastern Europe, Dr. Jacques Marion.
During the conversation, it was discussed about the social and employment policies of the Government, which aim to raise the general well-being, inclusiveness, as well as about the activities and mission of the Universal Peace Federation.
Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the successful completion of the population census process, the importance of processing the collected data and the role they will play in the design of policies and strategies for the decade ahead.
Also, it counted the support measures and programs for non-majority communities, which include the 3 million fund for young entrepreneurs and non-governmental organizations and the joint program with UNICEF for practical work for young people between the ages of 16-24, of which so far 15% of beneficiaries are from non-majority communities.
The Prime Minister was informed by Dr. Marion for the Federation’s plans for organizing a conference on peace, stability and demographic transition in the Western Balkans, in October of this year, precisely in Pristina. On this occasion, the President Dr. Marion handed over the invitation to the Prime Minister to be part of this conference, as a guest of honor and speaker.
In this meeting, Prime Minister Kurti was accompanied by the deputy of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Hydajet Hyseni.
