The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was hosted by our compatriots with a warm and cordial welcome in Hamburg, Germany.
In a conversation, he informed his compatriots about the developments in Kosovo and about governance. Among other things, he singled out the population census process, which for the first time was done online through e-diaspora, the government’s decisions last week to allocate three million euros to cover the border police for compatriots who come in the Republic of Kosovo and another three million for guaranteeing loans for businesses opened by our compatriots with the aim that compatriots who have businesses in the diaspora return and invest in the country and the approval of the Law on Elections, which enables expatriates to vote physically in embassies and consulates or internal postal voting.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Citizen Diplomacy, through which many young professionals are coming to Kosovo and contributing to state institutions with their expertise and qualifications.
For the essential role and contribution of the diaspora, both yesterday and today, the Prime Minister expressed endless thanks and gratitude.
In Hamburg, Germany, Prime Minister Kurti is being accompanied by the Minister for Returns and Communities, Nenad Rashiq, and the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Daulina Osmani. He is staying there at the invitation of the Special Representative of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin.
The prime minister will visit the port of Hamburg to see the X-ray cargo scanning system in the port, together with the special representative of the German government for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, and then continue to the Hamburg stadium in support of the Albanian national team today against Croatia, within the framework of EURO2024.
