Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi hosted representatives of the Coordinating Council of the Family Associations of the Disappeared in Kosovo

The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, today hosted representatives of the Coordinating Council of the Family Associations of the Disappeared in Kosovo.

During the conversation, the adoption of the resolution in May at the United Nations General Assembly recognizing the Serbian genocide in Srebrenica and marking July 11 as the “International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Srebrenica Genocide” was jointly welcomed. The same condemns the denial of genocide and the glorification of war criminals.

The importance of the internationalization of the genocide committed by Serbia in Kosovo was emphasized, for which the organizations can fully rely on the support of the Government, as well as the necessity of clarifying the crimes, massacres and its structured plans for the ethnic cleansing of Albanians was underlined of Kosovo to bring those responsible for the crimes to justice.
The Republic of Kosovo continues its unrelenting institutional efforts in this direction, but which unfortunately faces unpreparedness, denial and hesitation from the Serbian authorities to clarify them. Serbia, now internationally recognized as a genocidal state, must face the past and be held responsible for the genocide in Kosovo.

The head of the Governmental Commission for Missing Persons, Andin Hoti, and Kushtrim Gara also participated in this meeting.
