The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, participated in the Awards Ceremony of the International Theater Festival in Pristina “Burbuqe Berisha”.
Prime Minister Kurti awarded the main prize of PITF 2024, the “Best Play” award, which was won by the play “Muhammad Ali, the one and only” from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Places like this and festivals like this, events like this make art culture, so I thank them from the bottom of my heart and express my deep gratitude to all those who have worked and contributed”, said the Prime Minister on the stage of the “Faruk Begolli” Theater in AAB College.
The contestants of this edition came from Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Croatia, North Macedonia and Montenegro, while the festival dedicated to the appreciation of the important figure of the performing arts, Burbuqe Berisha, also serves as a platform to get to know better the cultural heritage of our country.
On the final night of PITF, in addition to Prime Minister Kurti, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo for Minority Affairs and Human Rights, Emilija Rexhepi, the Ambassador of Montenegro to Kosovo, Bernard Çobaj, the Ambassador of Albania to Kosovo, Petrit Malaj and member of the Assembly of Kosovo, were also present.
Previously, on the last night of the Festival, Prime Minister Kurti attended the play “Bloody Moon”, directed by Ana Dordervic from the National Theater of Montenegro.

Places like this and festivals like this, events like this make art culture, so I thank them from the bottom of my heart and express my deep gratitude to all those who have worked and contributed.
They have started asking me why I am going to the show because I am probably going often, even when I tell you I am going for myself, for fun, they don’t believe me. So in the 9th edition next year, don’t send me an invitation at all, I’ll come myself. Partly, without a script.
