The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, held a working dinner tonight with the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasnqi and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the PDK , Abelard Tahiri.
This dinner took place at the invitation of Prime Minister Kurti. The central topic of the discussion was the progress of the work of the Assembly and the fulfillment of the legislative agenda in the Assembly for the spring session, namely the voting of international agreements. There are 13 international agreements that are waiting to be voted on, and for which 2/3 of the deputies in the Assembly are needed.
The Prime Minister emphasized that with 224 laws voted in two readings so far, the legislature emerging from the February 2021 elections has set a new record of laws voted since the country’s independence. This number can increase even further, but for certain issues, such as international agreements and certain laws, the support and contribution of other parliamentary parties is also needed.
In addition, it was also discussed about the political current affairs, the progress of the Republic of Kosovo in international integrations, and the possibilities for new elections in the near future, as the Government has entered the last year of its mandate.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked the leaders of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, chairman Memli Krasniqi and chairman of the Parliamentary Group, Abelard Tahiri, for responding positively to the invitation for a working dinner tonight. He is ready and interested to meet the representatives of other parliamentary parties to hold discussions similar to those of tonight.
