Together with the minister Nenad Rashić, today we were in Kamenica. The most recent data show us that the residents of this municipality responded positively and without hesitation to our call for registration. Kamenica is one of the best examples of inter-ethnic coexistence and integration of the Serbian community in Kosovo. This is also confirmed by the high percentage of participation of our citizens of the Serbian community in the population census process.
Dear citizens,
We are already in the last week of the population census process. So far, over 1,420,000 citizens have been registered in the Republic of Kosovo.
I want to thank each registrar and supervisor for their exemplary work. This work has also been evaluated by the monitoring teams of the United Nations, by the Economic Commission for Europe, UNECE, and by the Population Fund, UNFPA. I encourage them to continue working with dedication until the process is completed.
The population census, of each of us, is not just a record for statistics, but will serve us for fair policies and correct orientation in the decisions and measures, projects and investments that we will undertake in the next 10 years. Your registration is vital for you and for the country, for planning our future.
I call on you once again, in Kosovo and the diaspora, to those of you who have not yet registered, to use this last week until May 17, to register and thus conclude this process as best as possible.
Thank you!
