The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed today the head of the OSCE in Kosovo, Michael Davenport and the ambassador of Switzerland, Jurg Sprecher.
The meeting specifically discussed support for the creation and operationalization of the Office for Linguistic Control and Harmonization within the Office of the Prime Minister, as the Government has approved the decision to create this office.
This office will work closely with the Office of the Language Commissioner in ensuring the implementation of the Law on the Use of Languages, and will employ up to 15 translators, so that laws and bylaws are presented in both official languages of the Republic of Kosovo with full translation accuracy. With this commitment of the Government, we are ensuring the rule of law and the implementation of the rights of all citizens of Kosovo.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Ambassadors Davenport and Sprecher for the conversation, cooperation and continuous support to our country.
