The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, met yesterday during his stay in Switzerland with the Secretary of State of the Federal Department for Foreign Affairs of Switzerland (FDFA), Alexandre Fasel.
In this meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized the European perspective of our country, the objectives and goals of the journey in the processes of European integration and the development and progress of our country. It was underlined that through our government program and the policies undertaken, we have demonstrated our strong commitment to democratic governance and made important steps in economic development, for sustainable economic growth, with fair and equal distribution to all citizens.
Further, Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe was discussed. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized the democratic values of our country and the aim of rapprochement with the European community, where membership in this organization is an important step.
Among the topics covered were the situation in the country and the region as well as the dialogue process. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked Mr. Fasel for the hospitality, valuable conversation and exchanged views, emphasizing the importance of continuing to strengthen relations between our two countries.
