The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue, Besnik Bislimi, this morning visited the family of the activist and former member of the Assembly of Kosovo, Ali Lajqi, who died on April 28 of this year.
Born on January 3, 1955 in Malaj i Rugova, Ali Lajqi has been politically active throughout his life. After the war in Kosovo, Ali Lajçi was the Mayor of the Municipality of Peja between 2001 and 2007, and then a deputy in the Assembly of Kosovo. He was also one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence of Kosovo, on February 17, 2008.
Prime Minister Kurti highly appreciated the figure of the former deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo and the former mayor of the Municipality of Peja, Ali Lajqi, describing him as an outstanding activist and activist of the national issue, as he added that they will always remember him with pride for his activity, contribution and patriotic and political commitment to the country. He expressed his most sincere condolences to the Lajçi family, and emphasized that they are grateful for all the work and dedication of Ali Lajçi to the homeland, state and society.
In this condolence visit, along with Prime Minister Kurti, there were the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveҫla, the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, as well as deputies and activists of the VETËVENDOSJE Movement!
During the day yesterday, Prime Minister Kurti also paid tribute in the premises of the Assembly of Kosovo, near the coffin of the former deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo, and the former mayor of Peja, Ali Lajçi, and participated in the Memorial Academy in honor of his life and work his.
