The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, participated in the next ministerial meeting of the countries of the Western Balkans with the EU for the Growth Plan.
After the last meetings held in Tirana at the end of February, today’s meeting was held in the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica, where the participants were representatives of the ministries that cover the fields of European integration and finance and economy, from the six countries of the Western Balkans, together with representatives of the European Union.
Throughout the discussion tables and sessions held within today’s event, the conversations focused on the priorities of the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. Access to the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA), the strengthening of trade exchanges and the improvement of infrastructure, as well as advancement in the fields of technology, digitalization and innovation were particularly emphasized.
In his addresses, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi assessed them as welcome initiatives, in which our country is engaging intensively. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of the Regional Growth and Cooperation Plan, the contribution and work done by our team in this process, as well as underlining in particular the commitment to the completion of the reform agenda, the finalization according to the regional plan which is in the next month of finalization of laws necessary for SEPA accession. In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister added that the Republic of Kosovo is ready that in the near future, organizations such as today’s event will take place in our country.
