The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received Rob Oliphant, the Parliamentary Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada and a member of the Parliament of Canada, in a meeting today.
The meeting discussed the deepening of relations between Kosovo and Canada. Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude for Canada’s continued support since 1999.
He especially thanked Canada for its support for Kosovo’s membership in international organizations.
Discussions focused on potential cooperation in sectors as diverse as clean energy, natural resources, light manufacturing and information technology where Canada has vast knowledge, technology and experience.
These areas were considered to have great potential for cooperation, which could contribute to sustainable economic growth and technological progress in Kosovo.
Mr. Oliphant, recognizing Kosovo’s progress, expressed Canada’s readiness for full cooperation and the deepening and expansion of relations between our two countries.
Prime Minister Kurti was accompanied in the meeting by the ambassador of Kosovo to Canada, Adriatik Kryeziu, while Mr. Rob Oliphant was accompanied by Canada’s ambassador to Kosovo, Jessica Blitt
