The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Liza Gashi, received in a meeting today the Director for Business Development of the MASDAR company from Abu Dhabi, Ahmed Al Awadi, as well as the senior manager for development, Serkan Atta.
The MASDAR company is a company from Abu Dhabi that is world-renowned in the field of renewable energy.
Prime Minister Kurti and other members of the government cabinet at the meeting presented the advantages that our country offers and investment opportunities in Kosovo – especially in the construction of new capacities of renewable energy sources, including those planned through the investment package, where the construction of capacities is foreseen of 950 MW of wind and solar energy as well as storage capacities, which are expected to reach the investment value of 1.2 billion euros.
These capacities have started with our first 100 MW solar auction, the bidding process for which was successfully completed during the month of January.
