Munich, 16th February 2024

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, held a bilateral meeting at the Security Conference in Munich with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Policy Security, as well as the Vice President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, as well as the Special Representative of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak.

The meeting discussed the dialogue process, the implementation of agreed agreements, and the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

In light of the continuous violations by Serbia, the terrorist and paramilitary attack in Banjska against the territorial integrity of Kosovo and national security, the letters and continuous public statements about the non-legal binding of the agreement for Serbia and not full implementation of the Basic Agreement reached in Brussels and its annex in Ohrid, the signing of agreements has become necessary as a guarantee of their full respect and implementation, towards the complete normalization of relations between the two countries.

The Prime Minister also demanded the removal of unfair restrictive measures imposed by the European Union.
