Happy and congratulations to all citizens of the Republic, Kosovo’s Independence!
A month ago, we commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Recak massacre, in three weeks we will remember the 26th anniversary of the KLA Epic, meanwhile in 4 months we will mark the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Kosovo.
So, resistance and liberation come before independence, which we today enjoy and strengthen through state institutions, economic development, democratic and social progress.
This 16th anniversary finds Kosovo with a powerful passport like never before, enabling citizens to move freely in 35 countries. Additionally, from both an economic and democratic standpoint, as well as the standpoint of security and integrity, we can and we must assert that our shared Republic has never been as strong, safe, free and democratic as it is now.
We join our President and the speaker of parliament in the commemoration of all the heroes, martyrs, the fallen, for those who made sacrifices, worked and committed themselves for the Republic of Kosovo, for our Independence. By commemorating them, we remind ourselves of the high price we’ve paid to get here, but also the path we will continue, certainly, towards European and Euro-Atlantic integrations, for which a special thanks goes to our partners, our international allies who supported and helped us.
We defend our achievements, overcome challenges and together, we multiply our successes!
