Prime Minister Kurti met the Finnish MP and the Chairperson of the Friendship Group between Kosovo and Finland, Tytti Tuppurainen

The next meeting was held by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, this time together with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, with the Finnish MP and the Chairperson of the Friendship Group between Kosovo and Finland, Tytti Tuppurainen.

Prime Minister Kurti congratulated MP Tuppurainen on Finland’s membership in NATO. He said that the Republic of Kosovo considers NATO as the most important security umbrella for our democracies today.

Therefore, the aim of the Republic of Kosovo is full membership in NATO, and membership in the NATO Partnership for Peace program is seen as the fundamental step in that direction, said Prime Minister Kurti.

Regarding the latest developments in the country and the discussions regarding the new Central Bank Regulation on Cash Operations, he informed MP Tuppurainen of the goals of this regulation and the care of the country’s institutions to ensure implementation easier. Here he underlined the transitional period that focuses on information and the 10-point plan of the Central Bank for easy implementation.

The dialogue process mediated by the European Union was also discussed at the meeting.

Prime Minister Kurti accepted congratulations from the Finnish deputy Tuppurainen on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Kosovo and congratulations on the progress achieved in recent years, also evidenced by international indices.
