Today in his office, together with the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti hosted the head of Albanian politics from North Macedonia: Arben Taravari, Chairman of the Alliance for Albanians (ASh) and of the Municipality of Gostivar , as well as the leaders of the European League for Change (LEN), Bilall Kasami, Chairman of the BESA Movement and the Municipality of Tetova, Izet Mejhiti, Chairman of the Democratic Movement and deputy, and Afrim Gashi, Chairman of the Alternative, also a deputy.
The prime minister’s adviser, Bekim Qoku, also participated in the meeting. Together they discussed the situation in the Balkan region, the good neighborhood and the perspective of the important partnership between Kosovo and North Macedonia.
Prime Minister Kurti informed the Albanian leaders from North Macedonia about the meetings and conversations he had with the heads of state of North Macedonia and they informed him about the political developments there.
The topic of the discussion was the social and economic situation of the Albanian community in Macedonia, the need for democracy and stability as well as the improvement and progress of relations between the ethnic communities in that country, something for which Kosovo itself is an example, but also promotes and supports
The four leaders expressed their proposal for a president of North Macedonia who embodies coexistence between ethnic groups and guarantees the European path of North Macedonia, a president who this time should come from among the Albanians.
