The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the United Nations Development Coordinator in Kosovo, Arnhild Spence.
Joint initiatives, programs and projects were the focus of discussion during today’s meeting.
Ms. Spence reiterated the readiness of the 17 United Nations agencies that are present in Kosovo to support the goals of the Government of Kosovo, positively evaluated the cooperation so far and reiterated the congratulations to the Government of Kosovo for being among the 23 countries out of 130 that have registered their commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the UN e-platform this year.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi spoke about the measures taken by the Government, which target the reduction and elimination of inequalities in society, as well as the commitment and dedication to deepening cooperation.
Kosovo remains committed to advancing the focus further on the four main policy priorities: to reduce the poverty rate, increase the capacity of renewable energy, for digital transformation, as well as undertaking important reforms in the field of education.
