The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with his Chief of Staff, Luan Dalipi, and the adviser of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Donika Kastrati, welcomed the former director of USAID in Kosovo and the member of the board of the Kosovo American Fund for Education (KAEF – Kosovo American Education Fund), Dale Pfeiffer.

During the meeting, education in Kosovo was discussed, including the challenges as well as the necessary steps to improve the quality at all levels.

Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the importance of investments in education as a government priority. He singled out the increase in the overall budget for education, and the addition of scholarships for students, especially for girl and women students in STEM fields. Last week, 1,882 scholarships were awarded to students in STEM fields, bringing the number to a total of 4,630 scholarships for women and girls in these fields for three consecutive academic years. With the increase in the number of students in these fields, we reduce social inequalities and support the economic independence of women and girls.
