The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the Deputy Director for Europe of the European External Action Service (EEAS) of the EU, Marko Makovec.
Mr. Makovec expressed his condolences for the murder on September 24 of Kosovo Police Sergeant, now Hero of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku.
Also, he highly appreciated the professionalism, prudence and management of the situation by the Kosovo Police.
It was discussed in more detail about this terrorist, paramilitary and criminal aggression, where Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi informed Mr. Makovec about the details of this operation that reveal Serbia’s objectives aimed at destabilizing the region.
The meeting also discussed expectations within the European integration agenda.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo highly appreciates the EU Commission’s initiative for the new expansion plan. It was also emphasized that the process of European integration should be based on meritocracy and offer equal instruments to all countries, in order to advance the European agenda and fulfill the reforms
