Pristina, 25 August 2023
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by his advisor for Information Technology, Lulëzon Jagxhiu, visited the “Solution25” company this afternoon, owned by two brothers, Besar and Besnik Bilalli.
Opened in 2017, “Solution25” offers a range of services in the field of information technology, with a focus on online commerce (e-commerce) and programming. It currently has around 50 employees, of which 11 are engaged through a platform designed and financed by the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers, SuperPuna. They collaborate with various large international companies and have over 200 completed projects in their portfolio.
Kosovo’s potential in the Information Technology sector is extraordinary. With the Government’s focus on digital transformation, especially with e-government services and digitization in education, which is expected to translate into investments of 100 million euros in the next five years, we aim to provide the most suitable infrastructure for companies in this sector so they can develop as much as possible.
So far, we are the first in Western Balkans in the IT competitiveness index, the first in Europe in terms of the number of IT students per 100 thousand inhabitants, and second in technological infrastructure. There are over 1500 companies in this sector. Over 78% of them export services. In 2022, the export of ICT services increased by 113% compared to 2021.
Wishing success to the owners and workers, the Prime Minister thanked everyone for their hospitality and the work they are doing.
