Davidoc, Shtime, 2 July 2023
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, participated in the Inauguration of the Park and Playground in the village of Davidoc, Municipality of Shtime, which is co-financed by the Government, specifically the Ministry of Local Government Administration and the Municipality of Shtime, at the value of 144,000 euros and with an area of 1 hectare.
After expressing pleasure for participating in this event, Prime Minister Kurti said that at the end of last year, together with Mayor Aliu, they also inaugurated another park in the village of Gjyrakoc, which has now become part of the village community and a meeting point for children.
We hope that this park will also become a place where many children and different age groups will spend their free time and experience moments together. This is the precise role of the Municipality and the State which is to create public spaces for its citizens, as it is these public spaces that encourage a strong connection between individuals and their country, but also with other citizens who share these spaces,” said Prime Minister Kurti in his speech.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that we will have new inaugurations in this part very soon, as two important projects are expected to start, the Rehabilitation of the Transit Regional Road with 1.7 million, as well as the rehabilitation of the Shtime – Lipjan Regional Road, valued at 1.5 million euros. That will ensure the free movement of people and goods in this municipality.
Prime Minister Kurti’s full speech:
Today, as everyone knows, those who are older from their experience and those who are younger from what they have heard and read, we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the Constitutional Declaration of 2 July 1990. And all major political decisions are made for the present and the future. Our present and our future are the children, so where better than in Shtime to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the Constitutional Declaration of 2 July, precisely with this park for children, where they can spend pleasant moments together.
Dear Mayor of Shtime Municipality, Qemajl Aliu,
The Honorable Head of the SPD Parliamentary Group in the Unna District Assembly, Hartmut Ganzke,
Hounourable Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kosovo, Your Excellency Joern Rohde,
Dear participants,
Ladies and gentleman,
Sisters and brothers,
I am delighted to be here with you today for the inauguration of the Park in Davidoc, Shtime. At the end of last year, together with Mayor Aliu, we inaugurated the park Gjyrkoc village, just 4 kilometers away from where we are gathered today. The park has already become part of the village community and a meeting point for children who are attending the playground, without discrimination. So, there are Albanians, Ashkalis and other children who play together in this park.
We hope that this park will also become a place where many children and different age groups will spend their free time and experience moments together. This is the precise role of the Municipality and the State which is to create public spaces for its citizens, as it is these public spaces that encourage a strong connection between individuals and their country, but also with other citizens who share these spaces. And the mayor Qemajl Aliu we see is dedicated to greening the municipality, and providing as many public spaces as possible for the citizens, and for this, of course, he will always have our support.
This park has a value of 144 thousand euros, has an area of 1 hectare, and is co-financed by the government, specifically the Ministry of Local Government Administration.
Meanwhile, in addition to this we will soon have new inaugurations in this area soon, as two important projects are expected to start, the Rehabilitation of the Transit Regional Road with 1.7 million euro, as well as the rehabilitation of the Shtime – Lipjan Regional Road, valued at 1.5 million euros. And that will ensure the free movement of people and goods in this municipality.
Thank you, congratulations and goodbye!
