The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, as part of his participation in the Prespa Forum in Struga, North Macedonia, was also invited to a panel discussion on the political situation in the country and the region at the Prespa Forum Dialogue, with title “The road to progress: Conversation with Prime Minister Albin Kurti”.
He began his introductory speech to the panel by saying that for him politics is always “battle and service”, but that he would like more service for the citizens and less battle with his opponents.
He said that Kosovo, in the last two years, has had a social democratic government that combined economic development with democratic development.
While mentioning Kosovo’s achievements, he added that we are a small country, but economy and democracy go “hand in hand”.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the latest developments in the country and the current situation in the four municipalities in the north of the country and the relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
He underlined the events of Wednesday, when three Kosovo policemen were kidnapped by Serbian forces deep inside the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, the request for immediate and unconditional release and the need for a clear punishment by international factors of this aggressive act of Serbia against Kosovo.
Among other things, the Prime Minister spoke about the process of normalizing relations with Serbia in terms of the full and unconditional implementation of the Basic Agreement and its annex.
