The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met today for a conversation a group of students from the University of Amsterdam from 14 countries of the world, who are conducting a study visit to Kosovo.
Prime Minister Kuri thanked the students for the study visit they are making to Kosovo and the interest they have shown in our country.
Speaking about the current government, he said that these two years have been two years of growth and the fight against corruption.
During the conversation, the visible improvements in the fight against corruption, the rule of law, civil liberties and the development of democracy in Kosovo were highlighted. The Prime Minister pointed out that all these advances are evidenced by the international reports of Transparency International, World Justice Project, Freedom House and Reporters without Borders.
At the same time, the prime minister also mentioned the economic progress during the government so far, adding that tax revenues have increased by 2/3 and foreign investments have doubled.
The Prime Minister highlighted that in this year’s budget, special attention has been given to four areas: Health, education, agriculture and defense.
Among other things, Prime Minister Kurti in front of the students, a group of over 25 people, also spoke about the latest developments in the country, with an emphasis on the situation in the four municipalities in the north of the country and on the relations with Serbia, the aggression of Wednesday on the occasion of the kidnapping of three Kosovo policemen by Serbian forces, the dialogue process mediated by the EU, and the Basic Agreement and its Annex.
He also answered the questions and curiosity of the students.
