The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti, today welcomed the Vice President of the European Parliament, Rainer Wieland.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Mr. Wieland for the continuous support of the European Parliament in the integration process in the European Union and the affirmation of the state of Kosovo.
Emphasizing the commitment to the government’s priorities for work and justice, the prime minister mentioned the results and progress in the two years of governance, which have been evidenced, in addition to other international reports, by the European Parliament’s own report on Kosovo, which was published recently.
Vice President Wieland underlined the obvious progress of Kosovo compared to the region, which he said does not go unnoticed.
The meeting also discussed regional cooperation, economic integration of the region and neighboring relations, including the normalization of relations with Serbia. In relation to the latter, the Prime Minister said that the Basic Agreement of February 27 in Brussels and its Annex of March 18 in Ohrid should be implemented quickly, fully and unconditionally.
