Prime Minister Kurti hosted representatives of local commercial companies in a meeting

Alongside the First Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, and the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Luan Dalipi, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti welcomed and hosted representatives of some of the largest local commercial companies.

With Xhevdet Rexhepin, representative of Viva Fresh, Shaip Mikollvcin, representative of Interex and Emona, Ramiz Kelmendin, representative of the Elkos group and Hakif Gashi, representative of Meridian and Spar, it was discussed about the environment of doing business, about the features and the role of the private sector in the economic development of the country but also the difficulties during global crises, for the role and responsibilities of the institutions in the meantime, and for the cooperation between the public and the private.

Recently, according to the report of the International Monetary Foundation, Kosovo was ranked first in the Western Balkans with the largest increase in tax revenues between the years 2020-2022. This success comes as a result of the increase in the formalism of the economy, also encouraged by the measures of the Government within the Package for the Revival of the Economy.
