The municipality of Peja was the next center in which the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati and the Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi, presented the budget for the next year to the citizens.
In front of the citizens present, Prime Minister Kurti said that with the 2023 budget, and in accordance with the Government Program 2021-2025, we will continue the support for education, health, agriculture and security. He said that within it, the increase of values for capital investments, goods and services, which reach the value of 1.3 billion euros, is foreseen and that this will also contribute to the increase of business activity and the growth of economic development.
The budget dedicated to the municipalities for 2023 is expected to be around 100 million euros more than this year, while the budget for the Municipality of Peja is over 33 million euros.
In addition to the 6.6 million euros that have been planned for infrastructure projects in the municipality of Peja, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has planned 1.55 million euros for projects in this municipality, which will serve sports and youth. In addition, the means for the finalization of the National Judo Center are planned, a sport that has been the main word of national sports for 15 years and in which historical successes have been recorded.
After the initial presentation, Prime Minister Kurti together with Minister Murati and Minister Krasniqi talked to the citizens, answering their questions and providing additional details on budget allocations and projects for the next year.
