After the meeting with his counterpart, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a working lunch with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Urmas Reinsalu.

Speaking about the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, the similarities of the historical experiences and geostrategic situations of Kosovo and Estonia were emphasized during the conversation.

Prime Minister Kurti thanked Minister Reinsalu for Estonia’s support to Kosovo in foreign policy. Kosovo can learn from the Estonian model in advancing its goals for Euro-Atlantic integration as well as in strengthening state institutions through a qualitative reform of the public administration, said the Prime Minister.

The Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Estonia share the same positions regarding the unjustified Russian aggression against Ukraine and agree on the need for increased support to Ukraine. The need for strengthening alliances between democratic and peace-loving states against autocratic and aggressive ones was also emphasized. In this context, Prime Minister Kurti singled out the importance of connecting democratic and European values with economic interests and trade exchanges.

In this meeting, Prime Minister Kurti was accompanied by the non-resident ambassador of Kosovo in Estonia, Shkëndije Geci-Sherifi, the Deputy Prime Minister, Emilija Rexhepi, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku and the adviser to the Prime Minister, Lulëzon Jagxhiu.
