Prime Minister Kurti hosted the ambassadors of the QUINT countries and the representative of the European Union Office in Kosovo

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the First Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi and the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Luan Dalipi, hosted the ambassadors of the QUINT countries and the representative of the European Union Office in Kosovo.

During the meeting is was discussed about the developments in the country, the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia and current issues, with an emphasis on energy and the Government’s decision on vehicle license plates.

As regards the topic of the dialogue, the meeting discussed the various elements in the basic framework of the future agreement, which Prime Minister Kurti said should bring full normalization with mutual recognition at the centre.

Special attention was focused on the energy. Prime Minister Kurti informed the ambassadors about the government’s measures to help the citizens as a response to the energy crisis that has gripped the entire continent of Europe. He also spoke about the importance of the full and rapid implementation of the energy roadmap, with which the Republic of Kosovo and subordinate institutions have complied responsibly by fulfilling their obligations in record time

Regarding the license plate decision, he said that it is not directed against Kosovo Serbs. Through this and with our open invitation to convert their license plates into legal and official ones, we are complying with the rule of law and giving them financial relief, said Prime Minister Kurti.
