The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, participated in the opening of the international fair “Agrokos”.
In his speech, Mr. Bislimi said that the presence of so many companies shows the reputation that this fair has gained not only in Kosovo, but also in the region and internationally.
Since the event is also organized under the patronage of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed his happiness to help promote these initiatives.
“There is no greater interest for us than to see an increase in the production of local companies, an increase in their capacities and penetration into international markets.” said Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi.
Among the Government’s priorities is the orientation towards agriculture and the promotion of the agro-food sector. In addition to institutional mechanisms, consumer protection is another priority of ours. It was emphasized that despite the commitments in agriculture, we must take care to channel our agricultural products to those sectors that have the highest capacities.
Events such as Agrokos also serve for networking and establishing contacts between companies from the country and the region. The government will continue to cooperate and promote such international fairs. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi congratulated the companies participating in the fair and expressed the wish that in the coming years there will be even wider participation in such fairs.
The Agrokos fair is organized by the Ceo company, also under the patronage of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo. The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci, diplomatic missions, and senior officials from the region were also present at the event.
