The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received in a meeting the Special Representative of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, and the advisors for foreign policy and security of the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, Mr. Jens Plötner and Mr. Emmanuel Bonne.

It was emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo has shown its willingness and readiness to engage in a principled and well-prepared dialogue.

Prime Minister Kurti reiterated that the goal of the dialogue, which should benefit the citizens of both countries, should be to reach a legally binding agreement with mutual recognition at the centre.

He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Lajčák, as well as advisers Mr. Plötner and Mr. Bonne, for their commitment to the full normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia.

During the meeting, it was discussed about the need for even more powerful efforts by all actors so that the European perspective becomes a reality for the countries of the Western Balkans.

The meeting came after the proposal in the joint letter of Chancellor Scholz and President Macron, addressed to Prime Minister Kurti, that the advisors shall pay a joint visit with Miroslav Lajčák, to Kosovo and Serbia, in order to find options, for the dialogue process to move forward faster.
