To congratulate the new school year, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the Elementary School “Enver Maloku” in Podujeva. Together with the Mayor of Podujeva Municipality, Shpejtim Bulliqi, during this visit, they saw closely the process of distributing books to first grade students.

Prime Minister Kurti said that it is a special pleasure that on this day with such good weather we are together on the occasion of distributing school textbooks to students. I hope that we will do a lot of good work in central and local government, but also in teaching and learning for all students, he said.

School is a place where you learn, where you are taught and where children are educated, to become more knowledgeable and wiser, so school should be the place where students come to learn and not find closed doors and empty classrooms, the Prime Minister added.

He emphasized that the future of a people, a state, and a society depends a lot on the education of the youngest, Prime Minister Kurti thanked all the parents for the great will and dedication they have for their children. I guarantee that the central and local government, as well as the educational staff here, will have the willingness and interest in work, so that when these children grow up and replace us in the future, they will be much better than all of us, he said.

Prime Minister Kurti thanked all the students and parents who are present here, the President of the Parents’ Council, the vice-mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva, the director of the Municipal Directorate of Education and the principal of the school “Enver Maloku” for the warm welcome and hospitality.

After this visit to the school, Prime Minister Kurti and Mayor Bulliqi also visited the public nursery “Armela” in Podujeva, where they were welcomed by the children and employees of this nursery, which is developing the educational process with the little ones without any obstacles.
