The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Izmir, Dr. Cemil Tugay, and his associates.
After welcoming the Mayor and speaking about the special connection between Albanians and Izmir, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the excellent relations, as well as Turkey’s unwavering and continuous support for Kosovo.
The meeting discussed concrete opportunities for deepening and expanding cooperation between Izmir and Kosovo in the economy, industry and entrepreneurship, education and culture, technology and innovation, as well as in agriculture, environment and energy. In this context, the important role of the Albanian community in Turkey and the Turkish community in Kosovo was also mentioned, as a strong bridge connecting the two countries.
