Professor Shqipe Mjekiqi has joined the team of Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti to contribute her expertise in foreign policy and international relations.
During the meeting in which Acting Prime Minister Kurti welcomed her, they discussed Kosovo’s needs on its path toward EU and NATO membership, the country’s socio-economic achievements and democratic values, political developments in Kosovo and the region, as well as the security situation.
Shqipe Mjekiqi completed her doctoral studies in Political Science at Trinity College Dublin, earned a Master’s degree in European Union Policy from the London School of Economics, and completed her undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of Prishtina.
She has extensive professional experience in the public institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in the fields of European integration and security affairs. She is currently an Assistant Professor at UBT College and is engaged as a consultant on various projects related to development and reform processes in our country.
