The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, paid tributes and laid fresh flowers at the Martyrs’ Memorial Complex in the village of Marinë, Municipality of Skenderaj, on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the fall of the hero Ilaz Kodra, commander of the 114th Brigade “Fehmi Lladrovci”.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the name of Ilaz Kodra will be written in golden letters in the history of our people. He said that his fall, his blood and that of other comrades who became martyrs, illuminates our path forward, but at the same time teaches us how expensive the price has been for the freedom we enjoy and for the state we have.

Commander Ilaz Kodra fell heroically 27 years ago, just on the eve of his 33rd birthday, or specifically three days before his 33rd birthday, along with 22 other fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army. While protecting the civilian population, he came into direct confrontation with the enemy forces of Serbia.
Ilaz Kodra was the commander of the 114th Brigade of the Kosovo Liberation Army, which bore the name of Fehmi Lladrovci, after Fehmiu, Xheva and Fatime Hetemi fell heroically in the confrontation, also, with the Serbian enemy forces in September 1998.
Ilaz Kodra is similar in behavior, work, and organization to Adem and Hamëz Jashari, therefore he has continued their path and that of Fehmi Lladrovci and is one of the most extraordinary commanders of our Liberation Army. Therefore, his name will be written in golden letters in the history of our people and his fall, his blood and that of other comrades, who became martyrs, illuminates our path forward, but at the same time teaches us how expensive the price has been for the freedom we enjoy and for the state we have.
Glory to Commander Ilaz Kodra and all the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who sacrificed and were sacrificed for the freedom of the people and the liberation of the country!
