Post of Kosovo, on July 3, 2026, organized the promotion ceremony of the extraordinary issue of postage stamps dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America, honoring the historical jubilee of one of the most important friendly countries and partners of the Republic of Kosovo.
This event was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, with a government delegation, as well as the Chargé d’Affaires of the Mission of the United States of America to the Republic of Kosovo, Ms. Anu Prattipati, who were welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer of Post of Kosovo, Ms. Nora Rraci.
At the opening of the ceremony, Chief Executive Officer Rraci welcomed and expressed gratitude to all those present, emphasizing that for the Post of Kosovo, a postage stamp is not only a philatelic element, but history in miniature and evidence of the preservation of historical memory and state identity. She assessed that this philatelic issue symbolizes the lasting friendship between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America, built on the values of freedom, democracy and mutual support.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, appreciated the strong partnership and lasting alliance between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America, emphasizing that the continued American support has been decisive in the state-building processes, the strengthening of democratic institutions, as well as in the security and development of the country. He underlined that the postage stamp promoted today represents not only the marking of the 250th anniversary of the US Independence, but also the symbolic affirmation of the permanent friendship between the two countries, built on the universal values of freedom, democracy, peace and equality. Prime Minister Kurti also praised the role of the Kosovo Post Philately in promoting the history, state identity and collective memory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States of America in the Republic of Kosovo, Ms. Anu Prattipati, congratulated the Post of Kosovo for this special honor through the philatelic issue, appreciating that the relations between the people of Kosovo and the USA remain strong and stable, built on shared democratic values and long-term partnership.
As part of the ceremony, the official delivery of the framed postage stamp by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, to the guest of honor, Ms. Anu Prattipati, was also carried out, as a symbol of respect, gratitude and permanent friendship between the Republic of Kosovo and the USA.
Through this philatelic issue and its solemn promotion, the Post of Kosovo reaffirms its commitment to promoting the history, culture, state values and strategic friendships of the Republic of Kosovo in the international arena, while inviting collectors, businesses and citizens to make this publication of special historical and symbolic value part of their collections.
