The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Acting Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, the Mayor of Gjilan, Alban Hyseni, and the Director of the Hospital and University Clinical Service of Kosovo, Elvir Azizi, participated in the laying of the foundation stone for the Pediatrics Department at Gjilan Hospital.
With an investment worth 1 million euros, this project will provide Gjilan with a fully equipped and modernized Pediatrics Department.
Acting Prime Minister Kurti stated that this occasion is doubly important considering that it concerns pediatrics.
“As the Government of the Republic, we will always stand by your side, and may you enjoy this beginning marked by the laying of this foundation stone. We will strive to return as soon as possible to cut the ribbon once the entire project is completed,” he said.

We are especially pleased and honored to be here with you today for such an important occasion for public healthcare here in Gjilan, together with Mayor Alban, Minister Beni, the Director of the Hospital and University Clinical Service of Kosovo, Elvir, and former and future deputies of the Assembly of the Republic, to share this moment, which is a moment of commitment to supporting healthcare and medicine in Gjilan, the capital of Anamorava, where many Albanians from the Valley also gravitate. In this way, there will be both new facilities and modern working conditions for the medical staff, as well as increasingly better chances for the full and rapid recovery of all patients who will need to come here.
And this occasion is twice as important when we consider that it concerns pediatrics — namely, the special care that we as a state and society must show for young lives and for the proper functioning of medicine, which on the one hand is an exact science, but on the other hand is also a social responsibility.
Count on us. As the Government of the Republic, we will always stand by your side, and may you enjoy this beginning marked by the laying of this foundation stone. We will strive to return as soon as possible to cut the ribbon once the entire project is fully completed.
I read on the signboard that it says 270 days. The value of the investment is nearly 1 million euros. Less than 270 days is acceptable; more than that is not.
