The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the archaeological site of Ulpiana, also known as Justiniana Secunda, where archaeological excavations and research are ongoing.
During the visit, together with the team of archaeologists, Milot Berisha and Prof. Christophe Goddard, Prime Minister Kurti observed first-hand the work being carried out to uncover, research and document the baptistery of the cathedral complex of Justiniana Secunda.
“Ulpiana has demonstrated its extraordinary importance for the history of Dardania,” said Prime Minister Kurti.
Following the completion of the expropriation process for the surrounding properties and their transfer into the ownership of the state of Kosovo, the area available for further archaeological excavations and research has been expanded.
