The Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Partnerships, Ambassador Kevin Hamilton, during his first visit to our country.
During the meeting, they discussed deepening cooperation with NATO. Acting Prime Minister Kurti spoke about developments in the country, including in the fields of technology and defence, as well as ammunition production in Kosovo.
They also discussed the good relations with NATO, security in the region and in Kosovo, as well as current political developments.
The establishment of the Kosovo Gendarmerie was also discussed. In response to Mr. Hamilton’s question, Acting Prime Minister Kurti explained the concept and emphasized the need for such a structure in strengthening security and coordination with KFOR and NATO in this regard.
